YOUNGSVILLE, LA (July 28, 2024) – Youngsville Chief of Police Cody Louviere posted on his Facebook page that a video depicting an altercation that took place on Route 92 in Youngsville on July 27, 2024, is online. At his time, BY Local News (BYLN) has not been able to locate the video.
BYLN contacted Louviere for additional information and was advised, “We have no further information at this time. Only that our detectives are working on identifying all involved.”
Louviere’s post:
“I have recently been informed about a video that has emerged online, depicting an altercation that took place on Route 92 in Youngsville last night. After thoroughly reviewing the footage, I want to assure the public that the Youngsville Police Department is committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation into this matter. We are dedicated to ensuring that all individuals involved are held accountable for their actions.
Public safety remains our foremost priority, and we are unwavering in our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful community. The behavior exhibited in the video is entirely unacceptable and contradicts the values we uphold in our city. Rest assured, such conduct will not be tolerated, and appropriate measures will be taken to address this situation effectively.
