One Arrested for Child-Related Crimes

 Lafayette, LA – On 06/19/2023 at approximately 8:59 p.m., The Lafayette Police Department (LPD) responded to the 200 block of Terminal Drive in regards to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, Officers learned that an organization called Predator Poachers portrayed themselves as a 12-year-old female in order to identify child predators.  A subject, who they were communicating electronically with, arrived at the location to meet up with the “juvenile”. The subject was detained by LPD Officers and LPD Investigators responded to the incident. An investigation commenced, resulting in the subject’s arrest for multiple charges.

The subject is identified as Jerry Case Jr, forty-six years of age, of St. Martinville, Louisiana. Jerry Case Jr. was arrested for one count of felony indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile, sexual abuse with an animal, and pornography involving juveniles. Jerry Case Jr was booked into The Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
