May 29, 2023 Update to Fatal Crash in 1400 block of East Broussard Road
The fatal crash victim, which occurred in the 1400 block of East Broussard Road on May 28, 2023, has been identified as Mark S. Devillier Jr., a 42-year-old male from Lafayette, Louisiana.
The crash is currently under investigation by The Lafayette Police Department’s Traffic Investigators. Additional updates shall be provided upon request.

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police Patrol and Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene of a fatal crash involving two vehicles. The incident occurred around 8:52 p.m., in the 1400 of East Broussard Road.
One subject is deceased due to the accident, and another was transported to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries. As a result of the accident, traffic is being diverted near the roundabout of E. Broussard Road onto Kaliste Saloom Road and from E. Broussard Road onto Vincent Road.
If possible, please avoid the area and take alternate routes. Please note that an update will be released following more details obtained.
