Lafayette, LA (January 20, 2025) – On January 20, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Lafayette Police Department responded to a report of an employee injured at a work site. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the employee had succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Curtis Spencer, 71, a St. Martinville, Louisiana resident. Spencer sustained a fatal work-related injury while performing duties at a location in the 200 block of Rue Iberville.
Possum’s Tree Service is fully cooperating with the Lafayette Police Department in their investigation of this incident.
