Lafayette, LA – In regards to last night’s major vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The victim has been identified as, Jason Yameen 28, of Broussard, LA.

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police are on the scene of a major vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The crash occurred just after 9:00 p.m., on the 2300 block of West Pinhook Road. Preliminary investigation indicates a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on the 2300 block of West Pinhook Road. The motorcyclist entered the center turn lane, in attempts to go around vehicle traffic which was traveling the same direction. Once in the center turn lane, the motorcycle made impact with vehicle #2, who was also in the center turn lane. The motorcyclist died as result of injuries sustained from the crash. A passenger from vehicle #2 was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The Lafayette Police Department’s Traffic Division is currently on scene and the investigation is ongoing. The 2300 block of West Pinhook Road is currently closed in both directions.
