Road & Bridge Work

Beginning Tuesday, December 19, until Tuesday, December 20, 2023, Interstate 49 in the southbound direction will have alternating lane closures, with slow-moving operations.

The 1400 block of Jenkins Road will be closed Thursday, December 14, and Friday, December 15, 2023, while Lafayette Public Works crews install subsurface drainage culverts across the roadway. 

A section of St. John Street will close for Lafayette Utilities System infrastructure construction.

The northbound lanes of US 167 (Evangeline Thruway), between Willow Street and the I-10 overpass, will have alternating lane closures beginning Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. until Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00 a.m., to allow sign crews to replace overhead signage on the I-10/I-49 overpass.

The Eloi Broussard Bridge over the Vermilion River on LA 733 (East Broussard Road), at milepost 1.25, will be closed on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., weather permitting.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that twenty projects around the state received bids in November of 2023.

The outside travel lane of US 90 southbound from Albertson Parkway to LA 3073 (Ambassador Caffery Parkway) will be closed Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces today that work will begin to repair the right lane on Interstate 10 eastbound near Whiskey Bay, along the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge, on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Steiner Road at the intersection of Kaliste Saloom Road will be closed Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17, 2023

Robley Drive at the intersection of Gerald Drive will be closed Monday, November 13 through Thursday, November 16, 2023
