The Oath of Office Ceremony for the inauguration of the incoming Lafayette Mayor-President, the Lafayette City Council, and Lafayette Parish Council will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center located at 444 Cajundome Boulevard in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Lafayette firefighters responded to a vacant structure fire in the 2100 block of West Willow Street at 8:06 a.m. this morning.

The 1400 block of Jenkins Road will be closed Thursday, December 14, and Friday, December 15, 2023, while Lafayette Public Works crews install subsurface drainage culverts across the roadway.
