Higgins Working to Return Postal Service to Henderson

Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) released an update on efforts to restore postal delivery in Henderson, Louisiana, after speaking with senior United States Postal Service (USPS) officials today.

DOTD Announces Temporary Closure of Butte La Rose Boat Landing

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that beginning Wednesday, September 27, the Butte LaRose boat landing near the Atchafalaya Welcome Center in St. Martin Parish will be closed until further notice due to low water levels caused by the drawdown at Henderson Lake.

Frank Randol, longtime owner of Randol’s Restaurant and Seafood Processing in Lafayette, Louisiana, has acquired the former Mulate’s/Pont Breaux property in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

UPDATE: Road Closure: LA 353

LA 353 (Prairie Highway), approximately 2.3 miles southeast of LA 94 (Carmel Drive), will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning Wednesday, July 5, at 5:00 a.m. until Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.

St. Martinville Cultural District

The St. Martinville Cultural District encompasses Saint Martin Square, Evangeline Oak Park, and the St. Martinville Cultural Heritage Center.

US 90 eastbound and westbound between LA 14 and the St. Martin Parish line will have daily alternating lane closures on Wednesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
