According to a news report on KLFY, the Youngsville Fire Department (YFD) Board of Directors voted to scale back services to the unincorporated area of Lafayette Parish that is outside of the Youngsville city limits.

A charter was granted in October of 1950 to form the Youngsville Lions Club, now called the Youngsville Lions Club.
