UPDATE
LAFAYETTE, La. (Feb. 16, 2024) – In regards to the homicide that occurred on October 29, 2023, in the 500 block of Orchid Drive, an arrest has been made. Dontrell Clark, twenty-three, of Lafayette, Louisiana, has been charged with one count of 2nd degree murder in connection with this homicide investigation. Dontrell Clark has been booked into LPCC for the aforementioned charge in addition to a charge unrelated to this homicide investigation.

LAFAYETTE, La. (Oct. 29, 2023)– On Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 9 a.m., The Lafayette Police Department responded to the 500 block of Orchid Drive regarding a shooting incident. Upon arrival, one male victim was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his person. The victim was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition. While receiving medical treatment at the local hospital, the victim was pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries suffered during the shooting incident.
The victim is identified as Nathan Bob, twenty-seven, of Lafayette, Louisiana.
Investigators have been called out to the scene and are actively working to develop leads. An update shall be provided as more details are gathered.
