YOUNGSVILLE, LA (Mar. 23, 2024) – Crews at the Youngsville Fire Department (YPD) have responded to two residential fires since the morning of Friday, March 22, 2024.

The first fire YFD responded to was at 5:22 a.m. The fire was caused by a lightning strike on Devon Way in the Copperfield subdivision. Crews contained the fire to a small origin in the attic.

On March 23, 2024, at 1:54 a.m., YFD was dispatched to a fully involved mobile home on Dula Street in the unincorporated area of Youngsville.

YFD stated their crews did their best to knock down the fire quickly and protect adjacent exposures/homes.

The Broussard Fire Department and Milton Fire Department assisted YFD with these fires.
