Submitted by Youngsville Police Department
With summer approaching, the Youngsville Police Department is reminding its residents of Youngsville’s City Ordinance (Sec. 22-58.) on using golf carts and slow-moving vehicles.
YPD advises that children are prohibited from driving golf carts in subdivisions due to safety concerns. Officers will stop any golf carts found to be operated by an unlicensed driver with zero tolerance.
Below are some of the highlights of Youngsville’s City Ordinance. Please see the included link to answer any other questions related to the ordinance or registration of golf carts. YPD states at no time are four-wheelers or any other unregistered all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) allowed on public roadways. These types of vehicles will be subject to tow on-site, and the operator will be cited.
