BFD Blood Drive Going on for Duson’s Fire Department’s Deputy Chief

Broussard, LA (June 11, 2025) – A blood drive is currently going on in the Albertson’s parking lot in at 1210 Albertson Parkway in Broussard. The drive will end at 3 p.m. today. There’s still time to donate.

The blood drive is hosted by the Broussard Fire Department, in partnership with Our Lady of Lourdes, to help support Duson Fire Department Deputy Chief Glenn Cormier.

“Assistant Chief Cormier has dedicated his life to protecting and serving others. It is our turn to stand beside him and his family during this difficult time,” said Broussard Fire Chief Bryan Champagne. “We invite everyone to join us in making a difference.”

Cormier advised that he will be having surgery in Houston, Texas, next month and appreciates what others are doing for him.
