Broussard, LA (June 13, 2025) – Nathan and Amanda Sharp, originally from Memphis, relocated to the Acadiana area a few years ago to immerse themselves in the culture of South Louisiana. Along with their German Shepherd, Sarge, they worked with a realtor to explore the region thoroughly before deciding on a place to live. After completing their exploration, they concluded that Broussard was the perfect location to make their home.
Both Sharps held a variety of jobs, including positions as a restaurant manager, working for Ford Motor Company, running a liquor store, selling premium cigars, stock trading, meat store, and serving as a paralegal. After living in Broussard for a while, they reflected on what was best for them.
On January 28, 2025, they launched their Travel da Boot Facebook page, providing southern Louisiana promotions “From Lake Charles to New Orleans, and everything in between … come travel with us!” They spotlight and promote restaurants, festivals, and attractions, while also networking and building relationships with people and businesses throughout South Louisiana.
As of today, June 13, 2025, their Facebook page has 1,200 likes and 3,400 followers.
