Senate passes Kennedy-backed resolution to repeal Biden-era methane fee for U.S. energy producers

The Senate today passed a joint resolution of disapproval under Congressional Review Act procedures that Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) helped introduce. Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) led the resolution, which would overturn the Biden administration’s proposed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rule to implement a fee on methane emissions.
