BROUSSARD, LA (March 25, 2025) – The City of Broussard has been recognized with the 2024 Louisiana Workers Compensation Corporations (LWCC) Safest 70 Award for its commitment to workplace safety. Broussard is the only government entity in Acadiana to receive the 2024 award.
“Broussard takes pride in providing and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees who service our great city,” said Mayor Ray Bourque. “I would like to thank the LWCC for recognizing the city’s culture of well-being among our city workers. “
According to the LWCC, companies included in the Safest 70 seek ways to improve workplace safety proactively and are quick to react when potential safety hazards are identified.
“At LWCC, our purpose is to help Louisiana thrive, and the efforts of these award recipients embody that,” said Kristin W. Hall, LWCC’s President and CEO. “By prioritizing workplace safety, they are not only protecting their employees but also driving positive change that improves outcomes for businesses, families, and communities across our state. We are proud to celebrate their achievements.”
