UPDATE: Due to the uncertainty of the weather on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Public Hearing, Special Board Meeting and Regular Board Meeting for the Lafayette Parish School Board will be canceled. All meetings will be rescheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024. An agenda for all meetings will be available by Monday, September 16, 2024.
Public hearings will be held to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rate and rolling forward to a millage rate not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.
Below are the public hearings for Lafayette Parish, Lafayette Parish Assessor, Lafayette Parish School Board, City of Lafayette, and the City of Youngsville. The City of Broussard does not have property tax.
CANCELLED PUBLIC HEARING: Lafayette Parish School Board – Adjusted Millage Rates – The hearing will be held at 4 p.m. on September 11, 2024, at the Lafayette Parish School Board District Office Board Room located at 202 Rue Iberville, Lafayette, Louisiana. Following the hearing will be a Special Board Meeting to begin at 4:30 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.

PUBLIC HEARING and MEETING: City of Youngsville – The Youngsville City Council will hold a public hearing and a public meeting on September 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to hear public comments and adopt Resolutions to levy the millage rates for the year 2024. The hearing and meeting will be held at Council Chambers at 201 Iberia Street, Youngsville, Louisiana.
PUBLIC HEARING: Lafayette Assessor to Set Millage Rate – The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Lafayette Parish Assessor’s Office located at 213 West Vermilion Street, Lafayette, Louisiana.
PUBLIC HEARING: Parish Council Members to Consider Millages – The hearing will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Ted A. Ardoin City-Parish Council Auditorium at 705 West University Avenue, Lafayette, Louisiana.
