BROUSSARD, LA (September 13, 2024) – The Visite de Broussard half marathon will be held this Sunday, September 15, 2024, beginning at 7 a.m. and should be completed by noon.
The race will start on St. Nazaire at St. Julien Park near the Soccer entrance. It will continue on St. Nazaire and pass under US Hwy 90 onto Albertson Parkway. The runners will turn right onto East Main Street and continue into downtown Broussard. The runners will then turn left onto South Bernard, cross Ambassador Caffery, enter Sable Palms, turn around at the roundabout at South Bernard, and continue back to St. Julien Park on the same route. There will be cones out to mark the route.
Officers will be placed at intersections to monitor traffic and allow the runners to cross. Once the intersection is clear, vehicle traffic will be able to continue.
The only closure for this race is West Main Street from Clara to North Morgan. This section will be closed to vehicle traffic; however, traffic leaving Sacred Heart Broussard will be allowed to use West Main Street to leave the church.
