Krewe La Vie Doux hosted its 3rd Annual Jambalaya/Pastalaya Cookoff in memory of Gary P. Williams.

The event had cook-off teams for jambalaya and pastalaya, vendor booths, a petting zoo, and music.

Attendees could sample the various jambalaya and pasta-laya dishes and vote on their favorite ones.

According to Williams’ obituary from February 14, 2022, Williams held multiple roles during his life. He was a jockey, carpenter, logistics operator, police officer for Youngsville, and owner of Gary Williams Construction. At the time of his passing, he was a current Youngsville City Council member.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two graduating seniors pursuing vocational education.
