Youngsville, LA (April 12, 2026) — Krewe de Acadian hosted its third annual BYOB Hamburger and Hot Dog Cookoff on April 12, 2026, at the Youngsville Sports Complex Expansion in Youngsville.
Vendors from across the area competed for the title of best hamburger and best hot dog, serving a variety of creations to attendees throughout the event.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Broussard and Youngsville Police Departments, with each department to receive $5,000.
Winners of this year’s cookoff are:
Traditional: 1st Place Peppers Unlimited, 2nd Place YG-1 Cutting, 3rd Place Burgersmith Broussard
Non Traditional: 1st Place Prejean’s Broussard, 2nd Place Blackbull Youngsville, 3rd Place Born on the Bayou Food Company
Hot Dog: 1st Place Cajun Cajun Hot Tamales, 2nd Place Born on the Bayou Food Company, 3rd Place Emmy’s Ice Cream
People’s Choice: there was a tie between Quality Companies and Soul Chill Soulfood
