Second Arrest Made
Lafayette, LA (February 6, 2025) – A second arrest has been made regarding Saturday night’s homicide. Aerial Biagas has been arrested and booked on warrants charging her with one count of second-degree murder and one count of illegal discharge of a weapon.

Lafayette, LA (February 5, 2025) – An arrest has been made in connection with the homicide that occurred on Saturday in the 200 block of Arthur Street.
Markeisha Lawrence, a 26-year-old black female from Lafayette, Louisiana, has been arrested on warrants charging her with one count of second-degree murder and one count of illegal discharge of a weapon.
Ms. Lawrence has been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
This is an ongoing investigation, and further updates will be released as information becomes available.

Lafayette, LA (February 2, 2025, 9:45 a.m.) – The victim of the homicide that occurred on February 1, 2025, in the 200 block of Arthur Street, has been identified as 15-year-old Tameron Willis of Lafayette, Louisiana.
Around 7:21 p.m., on February 1, 2025, the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) responded to the 200 block of Arthur Street about multiple gunshots being heard in the area. Upon arrival, LPD Officers located the victim in the immediate area, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Responding LPD Officers rendered medical aid to the victim; however, the victim died on the scene as a result of his injuries. LPD Investigators were called out to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Any additional details gathered through investigation shall be disseminated via an additional press release.

Lafayette, LA (February 1, 2025) – The Lafayette Police Department is currently on scene in the 200 block of Arthur Street, about a homicide incident. At 7:21 p.m., The Lafayette Police Department responded to the 200 block of Arthur Street, in reference to a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, LPD Officers located a deceased victim in the immediate area. A crime scene has been established and LPD Investigators have been called out to the scene to continue the investigation.
