Lafayette, LA – Regarding the homicide that occurred on Sunday, January 22, 2023. The victim has been identified as Zaveon Willis 20, of Lafayette, LA. This homicide is still under investigation and we are urging anyone with information to contact Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
Homicide Investigation in the 100 block of Railroad Street
Lafayette, LA – Around 11:26hrs on 01/22/2023, The Lafayette Police Department responded to shots fired in the 100 block of Railroad Street. Upon arrival Officers located one victim with multiple apparent gunshot wounds to their person. It was then determined that the victim was deceased and a crime scene was established.
