Original Release: Today at 7:42 a.m. Lafayette, LA – The fatal crash that occurred this morning, is a result of a motorcyclist traveling southbound in the 2900 block of NE Frontage Road. As the motorcyclist passed a vehicle in a no passing zone, it struck a vehicle that was turning into the parking lot of 2909 NE Frontage Road. The motorcyclist struck the front quarter panel of the vehicle involved. The operator of the motorcycle died as a result of his injuries sustained from the accident. He has been identified as 33-year-old Jeremiah Guilbeau 33 of Carencro, LA. Intoxication or impairment.

Lafayette Police on Scene of a Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene in the 2900 block of NW Evangeline Thruway (Frontage Road) regarding a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle. The crash occurred around 7:02 a.m. There is one confirmed fatality at this time. If possible please avoid the area due to the Frontage Road being closed.
