Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department arrested 32-year-old Leah Bob of Lafayette. Ms. Bob was charged with one count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Illegal use of a Weapon, and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Ms. Bob was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in progress around 5:21 p.m. Officers arrived on the 1300 block of Twelfth Street and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation indicates a domestic disturbance occurred at a residence when one of the parties involved produced a firearm, and shots were fired. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
