LUS Fiber Excited To Sponsor 21st Annual Camellia Crossing

Submitted by Lafayette Utilities System (LUS)

LAFAYETTE, LA (November 27, 2024) – LUS Fiber, Louisiana’s only publicly owned fiber-to-the-home service provider, is excited to be a sponsor of the 21st annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana’s Gleaux Run, a significant fundraiser for Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS). The 1-mile fun run and 5K will occur in River Ranch Town Square tonight, November 27, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., with a “Gleaux” theme.

“We are honored to support the Camellia Crossing event,” said Michael D. Soileau, LUS Fiber Director. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the community while raising funds for a vital cause. Nearly every family has been affected by cancer, and this is an opportunity for the community to support one another. The mission of Miles Perrett Cancer Services aligns perfectly with our values at LUS Fiber.”

In addition to the races, MPCS will host a post-run party at the Town Square River Ranch for all registered participants, providing music, dancing, food, and fun activities for children.

LUS Fiber invites everyone to participate in this year’s Camellia Crossing, a community-wide effort to fight cancer.
