LPD Working a Fatal Vehicle Crash

Lafayette Police are on the scene of a major vehicle crash. The crash occurred around 11:03 a.m., in the 3200 block of Moss Street. There is one confirmed fatality at this time.

Both lanes of Hugh Wallis Road are closed from General Mouton Avenue to Kaliste Saloom Road while the roadway is removed and overlayed with new asphalt pavement.

UPDATE: Section of Androcles Road Closing for Drainage Work

Androcles Road just north of Benoit Road will close on Wednesday, April 26 for two to three days, weather permitting, while crews replace drainage culverts.

Wilderness Trail Road and Bourque Road Bridges Closing for Repairs

The Wilderness Trail Road bridge crossing Bayou Vermilion and the Bourque Road bridge crossing Coulee Ile Des Cannes will be closing for repairs beginning Monday, April 24 for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Detour routes will be made available.
