Acadiana Waste Services, LLC (AWS) is set to take over solid waste and recycling collection services in the City of Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish beginning November 1, 2023.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that on Tuesday, January 31, single lanes will be closed at the following intersections for a 2-hour duration to perform signal upgrades, weather permitting.

Due to the possibility of heavy rainfall, sandbags are available at several locations in Lafayette Parish.

Applications are being accepted throughout Lafayette Parish for the Lafayette Emergency Assistance Program (LEAP).
